Job Training and Placement

Matching the right people with the right jobs

Our immigrant and refugee job candidates can fill a variety of staffing needs in key local industries, including health care, hospitality and tourism, light manufacturing and assembly, transportation and more.

Our services include assessment, orientation, job readiness classes and other training, case management, placement, and follow up.

From time to time, we are able to provide specialized job skills trainings, which currently include certified nurse assistant (CNA), housekeeping and sewing training programs.

There are no placement fees charged to candidates or employers. Eligible applicants include adult immigrants and refugees living in the City or County of St. Louis.

Job Readiness Class

Job Readiness class prepares new Americans for work in the United States. Topics covered include job search, applications, and interviews; work schedules and work shifts; workers’ rights; pay rates and benefits; understanding a paycheck; and job success. Also included are basic financial literacy topics such as understanding US currency, opening a bank account, writing checks, and paying bills.
