New Volunteer Position

PostgreSQL Coder - Our client management database relies on PostgreSQL code to do reporting and help staff stay on top of goals and measures. We would like to have someone come in and help us aggregate data through reports and queries.

  • Responsibilities: with agency IT Specialist, write code to create reports. Edit and update past reports to ensure proper functioning of reports.
  • Qualifications: Experience with PostgreSQL and databases. Must be willing to submit to background check and sign confidentiality agreement. Knowledge of SQL or pgAdmin helpful.
  • Training Requirements: An orientation to the agency, the agency database, and agency programs will be provided
  • Time commitment: min. 16 hours per month

 

Youth Program Volunteer Needs

Fall After School Program – Beginning September 10, Monday - Thursday, 3:30 - 5:30 pm,
Volunteers will tutor individual students and small groups and help with homework. Volunteers will also lead recreational activities.

Volunteer Qualifications for Youth Program

Current Needs

Mentors – Attorneys, engineers, accountants, human resources, marketers, and other professionals needed to serve as mentors for immigrant entrepreneurs or newcomer professionals with university degrees.

Babysitters and Apartment Setup Volunteers – If you are interested in helping prepare for or working with the newest refugee arrivals to St. Louis, please contact Debbie Smith, Client Services Volunteer Coordinator, at (314) 773-9090, ext. 182, or smithd@iistl.org.

Education Department Volunteer Needs: All volunteer opportunities in the Ed. Department require a 3 month minimum volunteer commitment (except for Citizenship Mock Interviewers), one or more times per week. Classes run year-round.
