Another Kind of Giving

Due to the Outpouring Support from the Community

Donation Drop-offs Postponed until Further Notice

As a result of the outpouring of support from the community, we have been inundated with donations. This is an unprecedented level of support that the St. Louis community has extended to our new neighbors that will be arriving soon. This amazing level of generosity has come to a point that is no longer sustainable. The International Institute has rented off-site warehouse space, acquired pod storage, utilized all the storage space we have in the building, secured short term staffing and increased help from amazing volunteers.

Unfortunately, we are no longer able to continue receiving in-kind donations. We are obligated to stop receiving donations and turn our focus to sorting, storing and distributing the donated items. We are tirelessly working on sorting and organizing what’s already been donated to identify what still may be needed. Please be patient as we work through these items.

We understand that some groups have ongoing donations for the International Institute. We are only able to accept these donations on appointment basis. Please contact Wafa Osman ( to schedule drop off dates.

We can always utilize items such as grocery gift cards. These are items needed by current clients as well as the individuals and families that will be arriving to St. Louis soon.

Financial contributions are always appreciated. Unrestricted donations allow IISTL to apply dollars where they are needed most. Once again, thank you for your generosity and support. More updates coming soon.

We have received an extremely generous amount of donated items in the past two weeks!! We are so grateful. Right now we are asking all community members to please hold items or pause on launching new drives so that we can sort and be good stewards of what we have so kindly received. We will continue to accept grocery gift cards delivered in-person or mailed to our address of 3401 Arsenal St. 63118. At a date TBD we will begin again accepting donated items on an appointment basis. Please reach back out in two weeks.

If you have already gathered items, please contact Wafa Osman at to schedule a time. Please note we cannot accommodate weekend deliveries.

If you have not already gathered items, please consider donating gift cards  at this time, as we have many hours of sorting ahead of us this month!

We have a very limited space to store, sort and distribute. We also are unavailable to pick up donations. Before you bring your items, please check the list above.
