Claim Academy — Afghan Support Program

As part of our ongoing efforts to welcome newly arrived Afghans and ensure their ability to thrive in the United States, we are excited to be working with Claim Academy to offer a 12-week developer boot camp focused on software engineering and cybersecurity. This immersive program prepares students with hands-on learning and real-world application.

The course is sponsored by our Afghan Support Program and the applications are open now through May 9!

Requirements:

• Applicants must be from Afghanistan and currently living in the United States.
• Applicants must have at least 3rd grade level English reading and writing skills and some technical background or interest.
• The program requires completing a 1-week introduction course and attending courses in-person at the International Institute of St. Louis Monday – Friday, 9 hours per day for 12 weeks.
• To be fully accepted into the program participants must complete ” 1 Week Mini Bootcamp – Introduction to Java” course
• Participants will undergo a behavioral interview and a technical interview with instructors prior to being accepted into the program.
