The International Institute of St. Louis is hosting an informational session about the most significant change in the history of refugee resettlement in this country, Welcome Corps. This is a new service opportunity for communities to welcome refugees seeking freedom and safety in the United States.
Through Welcome Corps, private sponsors help refugees to secure and prepare housing, greet new neighbors at the airport, enroll children in school and help adults find employment. This much-needed support for newcomers is a critical step in helping them build a new life in the U.S.
Everyone is invited to the Welcome Corps Interest Session on June 14 from 5:30–7:00 PM at the International Institute.
