The Race for Refugees began in 2017, when founder Heather Heuwe took action in response to the initial federal ban on seven Muslim-majority nations. Since then, it has become a community favorite race and a welcoming environment for all. Today, proceeds support our newest neighbors as they adjust to life in St. Louis. Since our inaugural event we have raised over $30,000 for our local refugee and immigrant community. The outpouring support of the region in the past continues to showcase a welcoming St. Louis.
Race for Refugees offers a 5K, 1 mile walk/run and youth 5K. See all registration price details on the Race for Refugees registration page.
During registration, participants have the option to choose between a standard race t-shirt, or upgrade to a premium shirt for an additional $7! *Premium shirts are only available through March 31.
