Letter Writing Campaign
Organize a gathering at a library, community center or place of worship. Write letters to the governor to let him know that his constituents support the resettlement of refugees in Missouri. Click here to view a sample letter.
Host a Welcoming Event
Community dinners, potlucks, and similar events bring community members together. Invite all members of the community. Partner with your local refugee resettlement agency to engage refugee communities directly.

Reach out to your local refugee resettlement agency to see how you might support their work in welcoming refugees, directly with newcomers or linking them with the wider community.
Submit a Prayer Request at Your House of Worship
Join more than 500 religious leaders and faith-based organizations from across the country and faith traditions in voicing support for refugees. Ensure that the health and safety of refugee families is included in prayer requests of your local house of worship. Click here for an example.
Submit an Op-Ed or Newsletter Article

Support Refugee Businesses
In communities across our state, refugees are opening businesses and investing in their communities. Collaborate with local refugee resettlement agencies to identify refugee businesses to support with your dollars. Organize a holiday shopping experience for members of your community. In addition to the activities above, it is important share your support for refugees with people inside and outside of your personal networks. Share materials, information and strategies with individuals and organizations across your community. Connect with others in your organization or faith community both locally and around the region to broaden participation and extend your impact.
